The USB Mirrored Compact Card Reader

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Of all the things a woman carries in her purse, somewhere in those terrifying depths is typically a compact of some sort. Now, I say that and I haven’t carried one in several years, however, most women do carry them. This compact actually offers a bit of technology thrown in, and no I don’t mean just pretty LED lights to illuminate your face while riding in dark cars.

This compact has a card reader stowed away inside of it and the shocker is, it doesn’t come in pink. Although, pink would be cute, I am impressed that someone created a useful gadget for women that isn’t a pretty pink.

The compact is also nice since you could leave the cards in it and close the lid, leaving them perfectly safe and stashed away for when needed. The compacts come in both blue and gray and it is being sold for $15.

Chloe Dao designs a handbag around mobile technology

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

I have a purse, or at least I call it one, in all honesty it’s technically a tote bag. I have upgraded to that due to the overabundance of gadgets that I have the tendency to carry around. Many women have the same dilemma, Choe Dao has created a technology handbag just for that reason.

Whether or not bright red lips on the front is your style, having a purse that is custom made around your gadgets would be nice for a change. Not only does it list areas for the common gadgets like cellphones and MP3 players but even for the Nintendo DS and the PSP.

It also has an area for cables and all those other cords that are more difficult to find a spot for. The bag is polyester with faux leather trim and soft poly-cotton velvet lining. It is being sold for a very affordable $24.95.

Gribbits add cheesy flair to your earbuds

Monday, April 14th, 2008

These accessories for earbuds make me want to cry a little. The trend started a bit cute and even pretty on occasion but now it has gone much too far within a fairly short period of time. These very sad Gribbits look like they should be neatly packaged at the local dollar store or flea market.

gribbits clips for earbuds

Needless to say I don’t see these things going anywhere near my earbuds, and I pray to never see them on anyone else’s ears either. However, I’m sure that I’ll eventually see a woman with a sweater covered in teddy bears wearing these sad things around.

The charms can be used on pencils, stethoscopes and obviously, earbuds. There are several varying styles all of which are just as cheesy as these two. They have a large range at least, from religious, to bugs and animals to flowers, sports and food. The food being a set of cherry ones, which I might find interesting if I weren’t already horrified from the rest of the line. The prices range from $5.99 to $14.99.

The extremely shiny Diamente USB Mouse

Friday, April 11th, 2008

A mouse for the general public is typically a boring accessory to an average computer. However, for those of us that live and breath through the computer we need awe-inspiring accessories to accompany it. This sparkly mouse is just the thing to sit next to any pink and/or sparkly keyboard.

Diamente shiny USB Mouse

I have my mouse that I like to show off to everyone and for me, it fits, it’s a gaming mouse with more buttons than I can handle. Yet, it is my pride and joy right along side my illuminated keyboard. So I understand the need for gadgets that fit your needs and personality. For me, this mouse would have every one of its faux diamonds picked off in a week, but for someone else its perfect in every way.

The mouse measures 10 x 3 cm and is being sold online for about $55. Which is much cheaper than some of the Swarvoski adorned gadgets that have popped up here and there.

Juicy Couture Laptop Cases feature bright Spring colors

Friday, April 11th, 2008

juicycoutureIf you’re going crazy waiting for the flowers to pop up and add a bit of color to the seemingly brown and gray landscape, you might try snagging a colorful laptop bag to tide you over. This Juicy Couture bag is perfect to remind you of the warm months to come.

If the pink plaid pattern is a bit much for you, Neiman Marcus also offers a solid gray as well as a solid pink laptop bag. All of which feature white leather trim and gold-tone hardware.

Unfortunately the site does not list what size laptops the bags would hold. However, if eventually they decide to post that info the bag is being sold for $125.

Chic Moonsus laptop bags

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

Although I tend to bash on boring leather laptop cases quite a bit, just because they are leather doesn’t always mean they are boring. These chic bags from Moonsus are offered in enough colors and styles to give quite a bit of a variety.

Moonsus laptop bags

Anyone offering chic red leather laptop bags is above the monotonous average in my book. The bags all offer room for files or notebooks and have an adjustable divider in the main compartment.

The front compartment features pockets for your smaller gadgets so they aren’t just floating around in there. Each bag comes in black, caramel, oakwood and red. They have a style for either 15” or 13.5” ranging in prices from $350-$370.
