Is the iPhone really as great as it appears to be?

Sunday, May 1st, 2011

I have AT&T and I might be getting a new cell phone.
I’m happy with AT&T so this question has nothing to do with that.

I’m considering getting the iPhone 3GS. It’s on sale right now where I live, and it seems like a really good phone.

The phone I have right now is called the Pantech Slate. I doubt you’ve heard of it…
I’ve never met anyone who has that same phone except the girl who originally showed it to me years ago, and she moved away so she doesn’t go to my school anymore lol. It’s a good phone, nothing really special but personally I love it. I also love that no one else has the same one, makes me feel unique :P

I’ve only had two cell phones in my lifetime. The one I had before this one was a hot pink RAZR in 5th grade. (don’t judge me lol) Back then I said that I loved my phone and when it was time to get a new one, I was thinking “why? I’m happy with the one I have, but okay” and then I ended up loving this phone (Pantech Slate) 42893729837x more than I did the RAZR. Especially the full keyboard!

But anyway, let’s get back to the question. I’m thinking of getting an iPhone.
I know people that have it. I also know a lot of people with the iPod Touch (which is basically the same concept, without the phone).

And I also know that gadgets and tech toys are a lot more fun when they aren’t yours.
Once you own them, the magic and newness kind of goes away…
I feel like if I actually own an iPhone myself, it’s not the same, it’s not special anymore.

I have an iPod Nano (4th gen) that I’m happy with, so this isn’t replacing that.
I like my phone and iPod to be separate

I love how there’s a lot of really cool apps for the iPhone (or so it seems!)
But I’m sure that most of the free ones are just demos of ones that cost money.
Like, you’ll see a friend who has all of these fun looking apps! but they’re all just demos -.-

^ Is that really true? the thing about the apps.
or are there a lot of really good apps that are free?

and then is there anything else that I should know?

(sorry for all the random blurbs about my life, haha.)
Oh, and if not the iPhone, then what are some other good phones from AT&T?
(It would be nice for it to be better than my old phone, lol)
I’m not a big fan of the Blackberry. My grandpa has one (it’s about two years old), and it freezes up a lot and the menus are hard to use. It’s been like that since he got it, but he doesn’t seem to mind. Some of the apps he has don’t even work, even though they used to, such as the Facebook app – I’ve tried reinstalling it and it still doesn’t work, to this day.

Maybe the newer ones are better, one of my friends has one and she seems to love it.

But personally, I don’t want a Blackberry. no thanks

I have big hands, why are gadgets getting smaller?

Friday, April 29th, 2011

I hate texting! I have very thick fingers. I have huge hands. Girls love my hands, I’ve ben told I have beautiful hands all the time. Even guys want to touch my hands, often gusy want to compare their hand-size with mine.

But why are gadgets getting smaller?? Texting on a phone is hard. Texting on a BlackBerry is even harder with all those tiny buttons.

I was stupid enough to buy a Netbook thiking it would be convinient, it wasn’t. I have to carry an external keyboard with me to use the Netbook.

Why are do gadgets need to keep getting smaller?
I’m a size 32 pants size, I’m not fat.

COOL GADGETS, under $300?

Saturday, April 23rd, 2011

Cool gadgets for under $300?
I’m a 13 year old girl who wants a new thing! XD

Anywho, I was thinking of getting a netbook, but I’m not sure anymore.
I already have an iPod and a digital camera, and my parents said I could use their camcorder when I like.

So, what should I get? It doesnt even have to be electronic, just something really cool from lately.

(no ugg boots or northface, either. i have em already :P )

Do you think my parents, or atleast my mum, will get me a DS?

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

So me and my parents were watching Frasier, and that newest and latest Art Academy commercial, where the girl lets the boy try it out, and at the end of the ad it had other products from the same company. Brain Traning, More Brain Training, Crosswords, and some more stuff. Because I need extra curricula, my mum said, “That’s what we should get. More Brain Training! That’s it!” and then my dad said, “But remember the other brain training gadget we got for Christmas?” then he said again “Have you used that brain teaser thing since Christmas, do you even know where it is?” and I said “Yeah, but it’s pretty easy, or way too hard for me. There isn’t anything very.. uhh learnative.” and he said “That’s not the point, the point is that you need to teach your brain to do more curricula activites.”

I have always wanted a DS of some sort. But my dad, not my mum keeps saying no. Saying “You have a PS2(that I didn’t want, and don’t play) and a Wii (okay I love the Wii though) and says, you cant get the same games and more” and I am thinking on saying “but do you really think that I’ll get the same games, they have the same plus more aswell!” and um yeah I dont say it though.

Which phone is better? Sony Ericsson vivaz pro, HTC Wildfire or the samsung wave?

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

I’m getting a new phone and have narrowed it down to these three due to the pay monthly prices and deals being good! Which phone is better? I’ve looked at the reviews of each and can’t decide which to go for (I like a nice looking phone with all sorts of cool features – I’m a bit of a gadget girl!)
So, your views?! :D

PLEASE help me pick which phone I should get? (Droids)?

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

First off, I would TRULY appreciate it if someone gave me a thorough answer.

Okay so, after a very long night of debating which phone to get, I’m trying to narrow it down to one! I’ve so far knocked out Blackberry Bold, Blackberry Curve, LG Ally, Motorola Devour, and Droid 2. The only two left are the Droid X and Droid Incredible. I’m having such a hard time deciding! I feel like my brain is about to blow up. I loved that the Droid 2 has a keyboard, but otherwise the Droid X dominates it in about everything else. Also, from all the reviews, it seems like the Droid 2′s keyboard is pretty lame anyway… I just liked the sleekness of the Motorola Devour. I like the material it was made out of. Otherwise, the phone sucks compared to the others. I really had my sights set on the Blackberry Curve for a while. Maybe it was just because it happened to be the only phone with any real color (smoky violet)… I tried the phone out yesterday, though. I hate the keyboard, quite honestly. Even though I have extremely small hands, it feels a bit cramped.

SO, that means I’m down to Droid Incredible and Droid X…

I like that the Droid Incredible has more vibrant colors and is a bit smaller than the Droid X. I like that it uses HTC Sense.

I think the only major drawback with the Droid X, is that it’s a bit… um manly? I’m a sixteen year old girl and a girly one at that. I also love getting the most out of something, though. I’m very technologically advanced. I’m usually the one who helps my older brothers with gadgets. I’m just so stumped right now. Also, the Droid X is a bit HUGE! I haven’t tried this out at the store, but I kind of doubt that the phone will even fit in my jean pockets… That’s probably why it’s marketed as the mans phone, if you know what I mean. :\ Oh, I’m also scared about the screen getting scratched very easily. It’s bound to happen, don’t you think?

Anyway, could you just help me compare it a bit more? It’s past two in the morning. I’m about to fall asleep… I would really like to finally buy my new phone tomorrow. I’ve been debating which phone to get for over a week now.

P.S.- The price doesn’t matter. They’re both $200 dollars at Verizon.
I’m sorry for the longish answer. I hope someone tries to help me…
