Is the iPhone really as great as it appears to be?
Sunday, May 1st, 2011I have AT&T and I might be getting a new cell phone.
I’m happy with AT&T so this question has nothing to do with that.
I’m considering getting the iPhone 3GS. It’s on sale right now where I live, and it seems like a really good phone.
The phone I have right now is called the Pantech Slate. I doubt you’ve heard of it…
I’ve never met anyone who has that same phone except the girl who originally showed it to me years ago, and she moved away so she doesn’t go to my school anymore lol. It’s a good phone, nothing really special but personally I love it. I also love that no one else has the same one, makes me feel unique
I’ve only had two cell phones in my lifetime. The one I had before this one was a hot pink RAZR in 5th grade. (don’t judge me lol) Back then I said that I loved my phone and when it was time to get a new one, I was thinking “why? I’m happy with the one I have, but okay” and then I ended up loving this phone (Pantech Slate) 42893729837x more than I did the RAZR. Especially the full keyboard!
But anyway, let’s get back to the question. I’m thinking of getting an iPhone.
I know people that have it. I also know a lot of people with the iPod Touch (which is basically the same concept, without the phone).
And I also know that gadgets and tech toys are a lot more fun when they aren’t yours.
Once you own them, the magic and newness kind of goes away…
I feel like if I actually own an iPhone myself, it’s not the same, it’s not special anymore.
I have an iPod Nano (4th gen) that I’m happy with, so this isn’t replacing that.
I like my phone and iPod to be separate
I love how there’s a lot of really cool apps for the iPhone (or so it seems!)
But I’m sure that most of the free ones are just demos of ones that cost money.
Like, you’ll see a friend who has all of these fun looking apps! but they’re all just demos -.-
^ Is that really true? the thing about the apps.
or are there a lot of really good apps that are free?
and then is there anything else that I should know?
(sorry for all the random blurbs about my life, haha.)
Oh, and if not the iPhone, then what are some other good phones from AT&T?
(It would be nice for it to be better than my old phone, lol)
I’m not a big fan of the Blackberry. My grandpa has one (it’s about two years old), and it freezes up a lot and the menus are hard to use. It’s been like that since he got it, but he doesn’t seem to mind. Some of the apps he has don’t even work, even though they used to, such as the Facebook app – I’ve tried reinstalling it and it still doesn’t work, to this day.
Maybe the newer ones are better, one of my friends has one and she seems to love it.
But personally, I don’t want a Blackberry. no thanks
